In 1863, when Abraham Lincoln proclaimed that Thanksgiving Day was to be national holiday each year, he could not have imagined the eventual evolution of Cyber Monday shopping. Beginning this holiday season the fingers of shopping stretched into Thanksgiving Day! Many “brick and mortar” retailers decided to open up even earlier than midnight on Black Friday by offering deals starting as early as 8pm on Thanksgiving night.
